Everdome’s Metaverse launch plan unveiled with in-verse live footage
Everdome, the most hyper-realistic metaverse unveils the roadmap of establishing Everdome Metaverse, saying that it’s expected to have it fully set on Mars through 2022.
Everodme’s roadmap includes three phases and each of them will demonstrate in the digital world a distinguished experiences that overlaps with reality, and allow investors, users, and viewers the opportunity to engage in the entire process and witness the landing on Mars.
Commenting on the roadmap announcement, Rob Gryn, CEO and Founder of Everdome & Metahero said: “we’re getting so close. We are developing a unique verse to the point where you really can’t tell the difference between what you are going to see in Everdome and the real world.”
With Everdome’s official public token ($DOME) listing behind them (launched on OKX), the team takes aim at the metaverse product rollout. Given the launch style of the project, Everdome plans to rollout its metaverse in 3 unique phases through 2022, all tied to very real-life experiences.
Phase 1:
Users will be able to view the launch room in 3D from their desktop or selected VR headset connected to the computer. This part is located on the planet Earth and designed to give more information about the history of space exploration and the upcoming Everdome mission. Simultaneously a web trading platform, using GIS technology underneath, will be released online. It will be available free to play to all users.
Phase 2:
Users and viewers both have the opportunity to experience the (rocket) launch, being part of the mission itself aboard the vessel, as well as view the launch much like real world rocket launches.
Phase 3:
After approximately 123 days of flight, users will experience Mars landing – the settlement of Everdome begins. First dome will let users touch the Martian soil and enter Everdome headquarters area consisting of the first buildings on the red planet.
Everdome intends to deliver on their internal mantra of speed to market, paired with agility and flexibility around industry markers, by providing their first glimpse into the product today as proof.
Built on Unreal Engine 5, Everdome team will deliver a chic real-world-extended experience – pulling on the talents and vision of renowned concept artists, game creators, 3D designers, Hollywood VFX specialists, urban planning professionals, a development team that has been delivering graphics and effects for more than a decade, and a marketing team that has already found bounds of success in numerous industries.

Cosentino and ANARCHITECT unveiled the slow-tech public installation ‘Context Reflections’ at Dubai Design Week 2021
Architectural surfaces leader Cosentino and Dubai and London based design practice ANARCHITECT jointly unveiled ‘Context Reflections’ a slow-tech public installation at the heart of Dubai Design District (d3) as part of Dubai Design Week from 8-13 November 2021.
Built using Sunlit Days, the first-ever carbon neutral surfaces collection from Silestone by Cosentino, the permeable installation invites visitors to enter a darkened chamber to pause and discover the intriguing play of penetrated light created via a naturally occurring optical phenomenon. The self-operating, analogue installation draws inspiration from the principles of ‘Camera Obscura’ of why we see what we see. The moving images conjured on the inside wall – inverted ‘live’ projections of the surroundings outside the construction – suggestively asks visitors to slow down, observe with attention and reflect on the constantly changing environment.
In a panel discussion moderated by regional design expert Rue Kothari during the launch event at Cosentino City Dubai on 7th November, the ANARCHITECT Design Team and Cosentino’s Middle East Marketing Manager Miriam Llano revealed several facets of the installation.
Elaborating on the concept, founder and director of ANARCHITECT Jonathan Ashmore commented, “Context Reflections continues ANARCHITECT’s ongoing research into the relationship of natural light, materials, and the importance of context in all architecture and interior spaces we engage in. Given the diverse and unique international settings the Practice works in, the installation concept was developed by our Team for Cosentino to highlight the consistent importance of light and materiality in our work; as well as raise our sustainable collective consciousness by going back to basics and calling for the observation of the contexts that surround us, here purposefully using a low-tech, full-scale analog design tool”.

Inspired by UAE Mars mission, ‘Hala, Mareekh’ carpet by Design Matter is to be unveiled at Dubai Design Week
A unique carpet, inspired by the UAE’s mission to Mars, is set to be unveiled during the Dubai Design Week, as part of the event’s UAE Designers Exhibition 2.0. The rug, known as ‘Hala, Mareehk’, or ‘Hello Mars’, is the work of boutique design firm, Design Matter, and is the first piece from their sustainable furnishings collection, ‘series of hope’.
Setting out to craft a metaphor for conquering the unknown, the Design Matter team, led by business founder, Fabidha Safar Rahman, has brought together traditional and modern design concepts to create a contrast between two sides of the same coin: a side of nature and tradition, and one of modernity and innovation.
Explaining the journey from inspiration to creation, Rahman said, “With so much to celebrate as a country, we wanted to curate all our emotions of pride, ambition, and hope into a product that recognises such a historic year for the UAE. We were inspired to commemorate the Mars mission by doing what we know best, design.
“Motivated by the feat, we took it upon ourselves to develop something that reflected the pride, the ambition, and of course, hope. Creating a designer rug that curates these concepts, we aimed to depict the journey from nature and humanity to modern technology and new ventures into the unknown. Fusing forms of fluidity with modernity, it is a metaphor for the UAE; a country deeply-rooted in its culture and traditions, while constantly evolving to new heights.”
Featuring free-flowing curves with linear forms, the design aims to characterise the natural lines of topography that meet with the final frontier of technology. A hand-like form wraps itself around the core of the rug, with the grey colour representing the unknown that is yet to be discovered. The final feature of modernity is inspired by the wings of the Al Amal Hope probe, while the gentle lines of yellow denote hope.
Reflecting the hope theme, the piece incorporates 15 % recycled PET yarn, an innovative, sustainable method of reducing the impact of plastic bottles on the environment and reusing them in a constructive way.
With 75% less CO2 emission than virgin polyester, PET yarn is a sustainable material that gives the luxurious look and feel of wool with no synthetic coating. The rug is the first piece in the Design Matter ‘series of hope’ collection, which aims to create unique, sustainable, and limited-release pieces, inspired by the UAE.
Hala, Mareehk will be one of 25 pieces from local designers to feature in the Exhibition, which can be viewed at Downtown Editions, part of Downtown Design Dubai, from 8th – 12th November.

Designs unveiled for Saudi Arabia’s captivating Desert Rock mountain resort
We often talk about immersive experiences in the context of virtual reality, but The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC) in Saudi Arabia is taking the concept a step further by carving a luxury hotel into a rock mountain for its future guests to literally immerse themselves in.
Set in one of the most dramatic desert landscapes in the world, the Desert Rock resort is being integrated into the stunning mountainside and offers panoramic views of the mountain canyons below and a canopy of stars above.
As part of The Red Sea Project, TRSDC recently revealed a first look at Desert Rock’s designs, which are intended to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s spectacular natural beauty and Nabatean heritage.
“Since the inception of the Desert Rock project, creating a development that combines luxury, sustainability and an immersive experience for our guests has been at the heart of it all,” said John Pagano, TRSDC CEO. “We cannot wait to welcome guests to enjoy a stay at this unique property.”
Inspired by the surrounding beautiful mountains, volcanoes and wadis, Desert Rock will feature 48 villas and 12 hotel suites. A variety of accommodation styles will be available to best meet guests needs, from ground level dwellings to crevice hotel suites midway up the mountain.
An impressive feat of engineering, a select number of rooms will sit within the excavated rock-scape, giving guests access to stunning views of Saudi Arabia and opportunities for star gazing, all from the comfort of your room.
The unique rock formations included in the resort architecture were produced by a series of cataclysmic seismic events thousands of years ago, and so the architecture has been designed to keep this natural beauty while also reducing energy consumption, supercharging the ecosystem, and regenerating native flora. This innovative architecture model offers guests a completely unique and unmatched form of luxury, combining nature and sustainability as one.
“Desert Rock offers a ‘never before seen’ opportunity for guests to connect physically and metaphysically with one of the most dramatic desert landscapes in the world,” said Chad Oppenheim, Founder of Oppenheim Architecture, the design and planning firm behind the concept. “Our key intention when designing the resort was to build with the land, not on it, and to be mindful of the stunning nature elements that already exist at the site, amplifying its natural beauty.”
Guests will enter the resort through a hidden valley nestled between the mountains. Most roads leading into the resort will follow the edge of the main wadi, hidden behind landscape mounds, to provide uninterrupted views. This will also minimise sound and light pollution, allowing guests to fully absorb the surrounding dramatic desert landscape.
The resort features state-of-the-art facilities, including a world-class spa and fitness centre, remote destination dining areas as well as a feature lagoon oasis.
Visitors will be able to hike with members of the local community who will provide educational tours of the area. Dune buggies will also be on hand to hire as part of the site-wide activities program, making it the idyllic holiday destination for those seeking adventure and relaxation alike.
TRSDC is championing the ancient history of the area, which is positioned at the crossroads of continents, connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. For centuries, Saudi Arabia has been a meeting point for civilisations and a crossing point for caravans on the incense trade route carrying spices, myrrh, cotton, ebony, and silk.
The Nabateans – an ancient Arab people who inhabited northern Arabia and the southern Levant and who are perhaps best known for their rock-cut monumental tombs in Petra, Jordan – inhabited Saudi Arabia’s north-western region some 2,000 years ago and constructed their second largest city there at Mada’in Salih, a few hours’ drive from Desert Rock.
The Desert Rock resort will be open for guests to visit as part of phase one of the Red Sea destination set to complete in 2023.
Desert Rock Destination Key Take-aways: Desert Rock will feature 48 villas and 12 hotel suites, a total of 60-keys with a select number excavated within the rock massif itself. Where possible, materials used in the architecture are recycled from the site and have the same integral colours as the surrounding landscape to further immerse the architecture in its setting. During daylight, the natural silhouette of Desert Rock and its respective shadows will prevail. At night, the glow of the architectural lighting from within the destination, not upon the rock will be visible to those passing by. The destination includes a world-class spa and fitness centre, as well as a feature lagoon. Guests will be able to stargaze, hike and use dune buggies all on the Desert Rock site to explore nature and cultural heritage of the region. |
