AMA Reimagines Façade Design In JVC

The Dubai-headquartered boutique architecture studio AMA was engaged to develop a new facade design for a mid-rise residential building in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle, where the massing and internal layout were already in place.
Working within tight budget constraints and a primary material palette of plaster and paint, AMA created a clean, proportioned composition that brings elegance and urban character to the development while maintaining a timeless architectural expression.
One of the biggest challenges AMA overcame was making a commercially efficient design equally appealing to all segments of the population and desirable for new homeowners. The repeating layout of the floorplates is offset by the variation in the facade composition. The elements are rectilinear to avoid any material wastage, yet innovatively come together to form a distinctive and contemporary character.
All units have access to outdoor balconies, while the interior is made ambient and private with solar shading and glazed windows. The project achieves a high quality of construction with a design strategy that makes the best use of the available resources without compromising on elegance and comfort. The project was completed in the summer of 2025.
