IMKAN partners with artist Jack Lee to bring urban art to Abu Dhabi community
Abu Dhabi-based IMKAN Properties has partnered with the award-winning Chinese artist Jack Lee to create an art mural at the newly-opened Sheikha Fatima Park. The project is part of the developer’s commitment to bring urban art to the community and enhance the appeal of the capital’s landscape.
Set in the middle of the Khalidiya neighbourhood, the former park that historically catered to women and children only was transformed by IMKAN in partnership with Abu Dhabi Municipality into the emirate’s first urban lifestyle park, integrating conventional park elements with new components and activities. It also became the first park in the capital with a dedicated area for pets, which is reflected in the new animal-themed mural.
Jack Lee expressed hope that his work enhances the visitor experience at Sheikha Fatima Park and engages the capital’s community through engagement and conversations around the art mural. “Nature and art make us human, heal our psyche, and provide rejuvenation when we most need it,” Lee said. “The success of my work will depend on its ability to engage the public. Moreover, artwork is created by individuals, but they are ultimately valued and empowered by society.”
Art lies at the heart of IMKAN’s effort to create a fresh and lively landscape in Abu Dhabi and reframe notions of what a park should be and how it should relate to visitors.

Tea Time | Bring Back the Old Times
Hello, trendies. A cup of tea was always a good excuse for some gatherings and gossip. But people nowadays seem to prefer lattes or matcha. Why? So we came today with a big question: When did the old fashion ways get buried?
Let’s bring back the Tea Time.
What happened to the elegance of the Tea Table, full of scones and little clotted cream and sweets? Time to bring awareness to the old cool and good habits.
Now, one thing that some of us know little about is the types of “Tea Time” that exist. So let’s start to understand more about our social tea moments.
Cream Tea
A simple tea service consisting of scones, clotted cream, marmalade, or lemon curd and tea.
Elevensies
Morning coffee hour in England.
Afternoon Tea
What we imagine all British teas to be. An afternoon meal is served typically from 2-4 pm, which includes the tiers of smart little crustless sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, curd 2 or 3 sweets, and heaps of tea.
Low Tea
This is still an afternoon tea, ut called “low tea” because guests are seated in low armchairs with low side-tables on which to place their cups and saucers.
Royal Tea
A social tea served with champagne at the beginning, to sherry at the end.
High Tea
A meal eaten in the late afternoon or early evening, consisting of a cooked dish, bread & butter and tea. Families with servants often took high tea on Sundays to allow the maids & butlers time to go to church & not worry about cooking.
With this said, take in mind to make it with style. A Tea Party doesn’t need to come from grandmas taste. Make it seasonal, modern and memorable.
And props to your table, has flowers or pampas leafs, candles or sivler plates. Is everything up to you!

Vastu tips to bring good luck and prosperity
For a house to become a home, it needs to radiate the right kind of energy. According to a number of traditional beliefs, each home comes with its own energy type. A person dwelling in a house comes under the influence of a specific energy field, which in turn influences him in one way or the other. Vastu Shastra is an ancient method of living harmoniously with nature. The core principle of Vastu is to create a balance in the science of direction that combines all the five elements of nature: air, water, earth, space and fire with the sole purpose to find mental solace and have the opportunity to enhance health, wealth, good luck, and prosperity.
All the eight zones or directions in your house i.e. North, North East, East, South East, South, South West, West, and North West play an integral role and if any zone is not constructed properly while designing the space, the house owners will feel the negative effects of the imbalanced energies in their lives.
Deiptii Taurannii, Vastu Shastra & Feng Shui expert, founder of Vastu in Dubaii shares tips on how to identify directions in your house correctly to attract positive energy and enjoy life’s abundant blessings:
North Zone
It is considered the Vastu zone of money and opportunities. An imbalance in this zone will hamper your financial growth. Installing water fountains or placing a money plant creeper in this direction will enhance the positivity and prosperity for the house holders. The living energy of the plants get rid of all the negativity too.
To attain the good fortune, a wealth bowl in the North direction of the house will do wonders. A wealth bowl should consist of three Chinese Feng Shui coins tied with red ribbon in a crystal bowl, along with a few grains of rice. The bowl should be wider on the top than at its base and should be kept hidden inside a cupboard.
North East
To enhance the energies in the North East direction, place an aquarium with clean water. Fishes, besides being beautiful, are known to attract financial benefits. Keeping an aquarium at home not only brings financial stability but also creates a calm atmosphere. A total number of eight fishes (red or golden) and one black coloured fish. Living room or passage area is an ideal place to keep the aquarium. It is not advisable to keep the aquarium in bedroom or the kitchen in the North East zone.
South Zone
This zone of the house should be enhanced with fire elements. You can display your awards and certificates here, burn red candles, place red vases, or accessorise it with shades of red, orange, purple, pink or bright yellow. These elements will help you bring your efforts to fruition and get you the desired fame. It is advisable to avoid shades of water and metal in this direction.
South West
The right enhancement of the South West direction can give a boost to your financial status as well as give you confidence, health, wealth, name, and fame in life. A master bedroom in a home, offices for the chairman, directors, and supervisors of business are most effective in the South West. Protect the stability of the house or business by keeping a safe at 225-degree SW, with the safe door facing the North. If there is a toilet or heating source in this direction, there will be cash flow problems and depletion of savings.
