Tashkeel launches engaging new workshops for spring season
Tashkeel is inviting residents to participate in a range of imaginative and fresh spring workshops that will allow them to connect with nature, strengthen critical thinking and self-awareness, and relieve stress.
The limited-capacity workshops have been designed to inspire the community to continue their creative pursuits even as they face uncertainties and anxiety due to the pandemic. Workshops and events will be conducted according to physical distancing rules, and health and safety guidelines issued by the Dubai Government.
“Our ‘normal’ has been disrupted due to the pandemic and that has affected our mental and physical well-being. It has become more important now to explore creative avenues for expression, growth, healing and self-discovery. Our Spring Season workshops and talks for adults will allow them to engage with a community of like-minded creatives and develop new skills and innovative thinking,” says Lisa Ball-Lechgar, the deputy director of Tashkeel.
Tashkeel is also running its Afterschool Arts Club for ages 8-12 years every Tuesday from 4-6pm until 9 March, and the Tashkeel Spring Camp from March 28 to April 1.
“Many children are currently dealing with feelings of anxiety, isolation, and boredom. A report from UNICEF highlights how young people cut off from support are at greater risk of lasting psychological effects. By having an outlet to express what they feel inside in a productive way can lead to a sense of accomplishment. At a time of restricted social interaction and playtime with friends, art represents a powerful tool for providing a sense of stability.”

Ideal Standard introduces new colour palettes for the festive season
Ideal Standard introduces colour palettes for bathroom interiors signifying the holiday season. This is part of the Atelier Collection designed by world-renowned designer duo Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
Pushing the boundaries of Interior design, a combination of craft and innovation with superior manufacturing and technology, Ideal Standard aims to create a unique synergy between bathroom design and the use of colours. Colours are a form of expression, a form adding personality to spaces. Bathroom spaces are functional, personal spaces that reflect the very intimate character of the people using it.
Introducing colour palettes for the classic, the contemporary, the flamboyant, the poised, the outlandish and the conventional, the Ipalyss vessels come in different shapes and sizes, in multiple colour options from the classic powder blue to the powerful black gloss and the spirited pomegranate. The Connect Air, Joy and Conca mixers from the Atelier collection make for dynamic companions with the Ipalyss vessels available in brushed gold, silver storm, magnetic grey and chrome. The colours of the ceramic and the vessels can be matched to create exquisite combinations, adding more character to the bathroom.
Frederick Trzcinski, Marketing and Innovation Director, MENA, Ideal Standard Gulf, said: “Historically, colours are used to interpret emotions and feelings. With the holiday season upon us, we want to give our customers the opportunity to explore and harness their sensibility of colours. Use of colours are intrinsic to Ideal Standard’s legacy and with the introduction of colours like chrome, powder blue, pomegranate, brushed gold, Kashmir, mink and magnetic grey, we want to showcase how colours can bring a space to life.”
